Z10 Safety has launched Eyeris, automated testing and compliance for emergency lighting. Eyeris keeps you compliant: every connected emergency device on site is continuously monitored, function and duration tests run to your schedule, and every result is evidenced in a dated report.

No record, no defence
Emergency lighting is a life safety system, and a failed luminaire is only discovered when it is needed most: a power failure or, worst case, a fire. Fire safety legislation places the duty on the responsible person, not the contractor.
Sites must run a function test every month and a full-duration test every year, with the results recorded (BS EN 50172 and BS 5266-1), ready for fire safety inspectors, insurers and compliance audits. On most sites that still means an engineer walking the site with a test key and a log book.
Monitored, scheduled and evidenced
Every Eyeris device reports any change in status, with its battery voltage and lamp state, wirelessly and with no extra wiring. A gateway collects from every device in range, and Eyeris Core holds the schedules, commands the tests, stores every result and serves the dashboard and the reports, in any web browser and in the Eyeris Setup App for iOS and Android.
Maintain full compliance
Manual and self-test regimes offer no assurance that a site will still have cover should an emergency follow a discharge test. Eyeris splits devices into groups and tests in waves, never the whole site at once, so the site keeps its cover. Function tests run monthly or weekly, duration tests annually or bi-annually.
A compliance record that is always current
Every scheduled test produces one dated PDF report per group, sent on completion to users with alerting enabled. Compliance records are retained and searchable for up to five years, depending on plan.
Green is healthy, yellow calls for attention, red is faulty: each device's status is shown on the site's floor plan, with the reason behind any failure. An engineer can run a test, locate a device or reset it from the web or the app, wherever they are. Fewer visits, faster fixes.
Scan it, name it, find it, test it
Eyeris does not need a specialist commissioning engineer with complex and expensive tools. Before or after installation, each device is scanned by its QR code in the Setup App, named, found by its unique light pattern and given an on-demand function test.
Across the Z10 range
Eyeris comes built into Z10's own fittings, so a new installation or a refurbishment is Eyeris-ready from day one:
- GRANITE bulkheads
- VISUAL / MAX downlights
- Twin Spots
- SPEEDY BOX / VELOCITY BLADE exit signs
- CK55 / CK300 conversion modules, bringing other luminaires into the Eyeris system
For organisations with many sites, the optional Estates view shows every site in one place, with overall compliance at a glance.
Eyeris automates testing and record keeping. Routine visual inspection is still required for total compliance.
